Iah Bantang Seraspi went viral after becoming second in the September 2015 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), not because of her high grades but because she was a fisherman’s daughter who could not finish his studies by her parents.
Many netizens were amazed that she was not stopped by the lack of money to study and become the top 2 in the board exam.
Many were moved and touched by her story and determination to finish school despite their financial difficulties. Netizens also admired her because instead of using her accumulated money for her luxuries she bought them a projector for their church.
A few years later, Iah celebrated her 25th birthday and shared a picture of her new home. This is a huge improvement from their family house where they lived.
Although she was ranked 2nd in the 2015 licensure exam for teachers, she shared that she did not work as a teacher in a school as many would expect.
Instead, she worked on the Carl. E. Balita Review Center (CRBC) is grateful to her for helping her succeed in previous board exams. a number of opportunities opened up to her when she was in the top 2 of the board exam but she chose the opportunity she knew that could provide and lead to success.
Iah still couldn’t believe the blessings she had received like the house for her family she had dreamed of. Their new house was an Almighty God’s reminder when she was just dreaming.
She heard words saying she was selfish because she chose to work at CRBC instead of teaching in a public school but she didn’t regret her decision because she chose to be practical and dream big because it was her dream and her dream for her family.
