We know that many people experience the withdrawal of their money from their own bank account without their knowledge of and permission.

One such netizen, Ruby Anne L. Chavez, used her Facebook account to share her experience and how it happened to inform the netizens and make them aware of the modus.

She shared that earlier the morning of September 17, 2019, her bank account was debited by more than Php 65,000. She also admitted that she never entered her bank account number at any ATM or online payments, so she was surprised by the emails she received about the transaction.

She narrated that she went to the BDO branch but they said that they could do nothing and wait for the investigation as well as the call center’s response.

“Never ko napasok yung account ko sa any ATM or Any payment online pero ngayong umaga nagbawasan ako ng 65,000 plus. Di ko alam nagulat na lng ako sa mga nag email sakin na transaction. Tapos nag punta agad ako bdo branch ko wala raw sila magagawa. For investigation pa. Tumawag na ko sa call center ganun din. Sabi ko my info kayo ng taong yun bakit di nyo i hold yung taong yun para di nya magalaw mga nawala samin. Tapos gusto nyo mag antay kami sa wala tapos walng assurance na mababalik. Di biro yung pag iipon namin tapos ganyan lng ginagawa nyo. Bakit sa mga simple tao pa kayo nag nanakaw.”

As a result, Ruby was frustrated because she was also not sure that the money she had lost could be recovered.

She also said how disappointed she was at the incident and to the BDO that nothing is being done to find the person who took the money into her account.

She added.

“Grabe kayo BDO ang dami nagtitiwala sa inyo tapos ganyan lng gagawin nyo.”

She also shares that her new bank account has losing money but her old bank account has still her money.

She furthered.

“2 account ko sa BDO pero yung bagong account lng yung nawalan yung lumang account ko complete pa din. Tapos ayaw nyo ipa pull out natitirang pera bakit kasi di nyo pa nakukuha. Diyos na bahala sa inyo.”

Until now there is no information that she recovered the money unknowingly withdrawn from her bank account.
