Dina Bonnevie is one of the actresses that really made the people admire and idolize her in the ’80s because of her beauty and acting skills.

For those who don’t know her, Geraldine Schaer Bonnevie is the real name of the actress and she was born on January 27, 1961. Her mother is a French and her father is Filipino and resides in Bicol.

She was only eighteen years old when she tried to enter the world of show business and had no difficulty in pursuing her dream of becoming an actress because of her beauty and talent.

She was also assisted by a number of industry-connected friends and introduced to director Joey Gosiengfiao. Prior to these events, she was recognized at a contest called Miss Magnolia in 1979 where she won the first runner up.

She also started watched on television on the movies ‘Underage’ and ‘Temptation Island’ in 1980. Dina Bonnevie’s career went well that year and in fact, gave her the opportunity to become a leading actress in the movie ‘Katorse’ with actors Alfie Anido and Gabby Concepcion. Here, the directors saw the talents of the actress on their projects and received awards because of her success.

Many were also fascinated by the actress’s beauty but Vic Sotto was the winner and became her first husband in 1980. They had two children but also they parted ways in 1992. The actress is currently enjoying her second husband with Deogracias Victor Savellano whom she married in 2012.

Dina Bonnevie’s charisma is still not lost on the people and in fact, a netizen named Senh Pascua shared her picture on the Facebook group ‘Memories of Old Manila’ and told me, this is it.
