Isang Customer Ang Nagbigay Ng Tip Na 50k Pesos Sa Restaurant Na Nagbukas Sa Gitna Ng Pandemya

 

The staff of the restaurant “The Starving Artist” in New Jersey, USA was shocked when a customer left $1,000 as a tip. The customer only eats something worth $50 but she still left a huge amount of money for the tip.

According to the restaurant’s owner Arnold Teixeira in his interview with CNN, the person who left a big amount of tips is their regular customer since 2001. He shared that the customer usually with her family and quietly eating at the restaurant. Teixeira was only surprised when a waitress who takes the bill of the customer went to him.

The customer just left a staggering $1,000 or equivalent to Php50,000. On the note at the back of the receipt that was left by the unidentified customer, she said it is only her way to express her gratitude to the staff of the restaurants who continuously working amid the pandemic. Even Teixeira couldn’t help but felt emotional and admits she already plans to close The Starving Artist for good.

Ever since the restaurants were allowed to open in America, they still not able to earn half of their normal income during the global pandemic. But with the generosity of the customer, Teixeira had hoped to just continue his service, especially their customers noticed their efforts.

Teixeira said,

“But this tip restored our hope in humanity. It made us feel so good about what we’re doing. We go through a lot of steps to protect our customers, and it gets exhausting after a while, but now we know our efforts have actually been noticed.”

The tip they received was divided based on the request of the customer from the note she wrote in the receipt.
